Our family's journey in the world of handmade carpets began generations ago, even before the outbreak of World War II. My great-grandfather, Mohd Ibrahim Nazir Ahmed, first established our presence in the industry, exporting his creations to the UK under the name "MOHD IBRAHIM NAZIR AHMED - BHADOHI.
Following in his footsteps, my grandfather, Mr. Badaruddin Ansari, founded "M/s ORIENT ARTS & CRAFTS - BHADOHI" in 1978. This marked a new chapter after his 23-year partnership in "M/s Nasrullah & Brother." He was a true pioneer, introducing finer New Zealand wool and advanced washing techniques to India in the 1970s, raising the bar for quality in the industry.
This legacy of innovation and excellence has continued through the generations. My father, Mr. Mohammad Naseem Ansari, the fourth generation, has upheld our commitment to producing exquisite carpets. Today, we export our masterpieces to discerning clients across the globe, from the UK and Europe to the USA, Canada, and Australia.
We take pride in our vertically integrated approach, meticulously overseeing every step of the production process. From importing the finest raw wool to dyeing, spinning, and weaving, each stage is handled with expertise and care. Our two production units, "OAC RUGS" in Bhadohi and "KAPOOR RUG GALLERY" in Jaipur, are testaments to our dedication to craftsmanship.
Now, as the fifth generation, I, Arfa Ansari, am excited to introduce "SQUARE KNOTS." This new venture embodies our family's passion for artistry and tradition, offering a bespoke service to those who appreciate the beauty and cultural significance of a truly exceptional handmade carpet.
